About me
Welcome to SnapInCloud!
I’m a Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer with a background spanning Linux, virtualization, OpenStack, Kubernetes, automation, and large-scale platform environments. I’m originally from Shriwardhan, a coastal town in the Konkan region, and I currently work in the UK.
My journey in technology started with Linux system administration and troubleshooting. From there, I moved into virtualization technologies such as KVM, libvirt, RHV and oVirt, before getting deeply involved with OpenStack around the Havana release.
As infrastructure evolved, so did my work. I gradually moved into containers and Kubernetes, working across cluster deployment, upgrades, networking, storage, observability, security, automation and day-2 operations. Much of my experience has involved building and operating large on-premises and cloud environments rather than focusing on just one part of the platform.
I enjoy working close to the infrastructure layer – understanding how things behave under the hood, troubleshooting difficult problems, automating repetitive work, and designing platforms that are reliable and easier to operate.
My day-to-day toolkit has included technologies such as Linux, Kubernetes, OpenStack, Terraform, Ansible, Helm, GitOps, CI/CD, observability platforms and the wider cloud-native ecosystem. I also hold certifications across Red Hat, OpenStack, Kubernetes and related technologies, including CKA, CKAD and CKS.
More recently, I’ve been spending time understanding how AI is changing infrastructure and platform engineering – exploring areas such as AI infrastructure, LLMs, agents and Model Context Protocol (MCP), while continuing to strengthen my core cloud-native skills.
Outside of technology, photography is one of the things I enjoy most. I like photographing landscapes, wildlife, travel, city scenes and occasionally experimenting with night photography and astrophotography. It gives me a completely different way to explore, observe and create.
SnapInCloud brings those two interests together.
Most of what I write here comes from things I’ve worked on, experimented with, troubleshot or simply wanted to understand better. I enjoy sharing what I learn, and I’m equally happy to hear different approaches or corrections from others.
Whether you’re here for cloud and infrastructure content, Kubernetes and AI experiments, or simply to browse some photography, I hope you find something useful or interesting.
